Ganser-Hydromag AG obtained patents for over 15 inventions between 1985 und 1998
that lead to 15 patent families. These in turn generated nearly 100 patents in various countries, of which two
dozens are still enforced.
Ganser-Hydromag AG realized several research projects on the subject of the CRS with OEM-manufacturers like Yamaha Motors,
Volkswagen, Renault, MTU Motoren und Turbinen Union Friedrichshafen, Mercedes Benz, Daimler Benz, General Motors, Isuzu Motors und Adam Opel.
Further milestones were also co-operations in the field of CRS with research institutes such as ETH in Zürich, IFP Paris,
IMH Munich, AVL Graz, Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, Ricardo Shoreham by Sea und Sandia National Laboratories Oakland CA.
Whereas the CRS is the current trendsetter in car Diesel engines, there still exists an enor-mous need for new and better CRS Technology in
the Off-Road market with its large en-gines for use in ships, locomotives, power generators and earth moving machinery.
Ganser CRS AG in Winterthur, Switzerland was therefore formed in 2003 to develop, pro-duce and sell these new CRS generations
for the Off-Road Diesel engine market.
Diesel engines past and present
The Diesel engine goes back to an invention of Rudolf Diesel, which he patented in 1892. Until 10 years ago,
the Diesel engine in passenger cars suffered from the image of having low power, high noise and poor exhaust emission.
The technical challenge was to obtain a good fuel injection system. Due to the progress made with the CRS fuel
injection technology coupled with turbo charging, the passenger car Diesel engine has succeeded in becoming a
though competitor to its gasoline counterpart.
Further developments of the Ganser CRS technology make the Diesel engines equipped with the CRS system more powerful, cleaner
and economical due to their low fuel consumption and better emissions. These improvements not only substantially benefit the
end user, but also contribute to the protection of the environment.
Ganser CRS AG - a formidable, smart, and innovative team
After three years of intensive research and development, Ganser CRS AG has developed this new technology into a leading
product fit for the market. This firm is a small company with great flexibility, fast decision-making processes and low
overheads, which allows for fast, customer tailored solutions in the market.
